Statue painting Helsinki workshop

From Childhood Memories to Finnish Adventures: The idea behind Artventure!

Hey everyone!

It’s Duong here

I'm super excited to share with you the story of why I decided to bring the awesome art of To Tuong (Statue painting) all the way to Finland. It's a journey filled with childhood memories, laughter, and a whole lot of fun, so grab a snack and get comfy!

Growing up, I was in love with To Tuong. I can spend hours, in my nearby bookstore, we they had this activity, painting different statue, everyday. YES, EVERYDAY. I remember those lazy summer afternoons spent painting statues with my friends, my brothers and my mom, or sometime, just by myself so mom can works quietly for a few hours. To Tuong wasn't just an art form; it was a way for us to unleash our creativity, connect with each other, and have a blast while doing it.

Fast forward to 2023, when I found myself being in Finland after almost 9 years, i kinda miss that time of just having fun and being creative, those carefree days of To Tuong fun. And that's when it hit me – why not bring a little piece of that childhood joy to Finland?

And just like that, the idea was born! I dusted off my paintbrush, rallied up some fellow To Tuong enthusiasts, and got to work planning workshops and events that would bring the magic of To Tuong to the wonderful people of Finland. It wasn't always easy – there were late nights, last-minute changes, and more than a few paint spills along the way – but seeing the smiles on people's faces as they rediscovered the joy of To Tuong made it all worth it.

Bringing statue painting to Finland isn't just about introducing a new art form; it's about sharing a piece of my childhood with others and creating new memories that we'll cherish for years to come. It's about embracing creativity, fostering connection, and, above all, having a whole lot of fun!

So here's to the colorful adventures ahead – may they be filled with laughter, creativity, and endless fun. And to everyone who has joined me on this wild ride, i hope you enjoy it as much as i did and thank you for not afraid of trying new things.

Let's keep painting our way to happiness – one brushstroke at a time!
